The Journey of a Budding Blogger

So, my first foray into the world of blogging. I’m a couple of years late to the blogging party and its pretty crowded out there, especially in my areas of interest – interiors, crafting, upcycling and travelling,  so how can I make my blog unique and stand out from the crowd?  What’s my USP?

Then I looked across to my husband walking on his crutches in the house and it struck me. Design for disability.  Bingo!  We have had to make some concessions to our home and our travels to accommodate his needs due to his MS and why not share what we’ve learned?

Looking for things to help with accessibility seems to mean living with an ugly, hospital feel, white plastic grab rails and rubber floors. I have spent many a long hour surfing the web and we have found some great ideas and great products that mean we haven’t had to compromise on style.  And as we only moved in 18months ago, we have lots more work to do.

So that’s it, I’ll share my stories and thoughts on design particularly for the disabled, alongside my growing passion for interior design more generally; upcycling, styling and home projects – and our travels with a wheelchair in the hope it’ll help and inspire others.

I’ll be learning how to improve my photography and my writing.  I appreciate any comments or tips you want to share with me.

Thanks for reading and I hope you’ll join me in a tour around the Wheel Chic Home…
