What’s that you say? The Amara IBAs are back again and you’ve been nominated?
Yes that’s right! It’s that time of the year again where I shamelessly beg and plead for your votes in the Oscars of the Interiors world – the Amara Interiors Blog Awards! I wasn’t entirely sure I wanted to participate this year because I can’t seem to get enough votes for the shortlist and it’s such a slog asking for votes. But some kind soul nominated me for Best Interior Lifestyle Blog so I’ll give it another try!
I’m going to do something Un-British here and blow my own trumpet a little bit (feels weird but I really want to share some of the achievements over the past few months)
What’s happened since last year’s nomination? Well I’ve done my first piece of paid work with a Brand (see here) – and I’ve been featured in The Kitchn (the sister publication to Apartment Therapy) and have been mentioned on Design*Sponge as someone to follow for accessible inspiration. By my own standards, views and visitors are going great and I’m thrilled with the engagement. Sure, I’m not in the same league as the big bloggers, but word is getting out about what I’m trying to share.
Also, with my co-creator Vaila from The Inclusive Home, we’ve set up a new Instagram account @InclusiveChic to share brilliant accessible design. We’ve got over 500 posts on our #inclusivechic hashtag and that’s growing every day, with new followers and people sharing brilliant accessible, inclusive design.
If you enjoy what I write about, if you enjoy my Instagram, and the ideas I’m sharing about accessible design, I’d love a little vote. It literally takes 30 seconds, and you’ll receive no spam, and you’ll be entered into a draw to win a camera from the Amara team. The link is here.
If you can share my link I would greatly appreciate it – a small blog like mine needs every vote it can get.
Thanks, and fingers crossed we make the shortlist this year!
